Currently serving as the Philanthropic Strategist for the first PhD in African-American Preaching and Sacred Rhetoric in the nation, Aimee has spent three years as part of the Christian Theological Seminary community.   An independent contractor and national speaker on development, diversity, and organizational effectiveness; Aimee has had the pleasure of working across denominations and organizational structures, thriving as a member of innovative collaboratives and partnerships.  After serving for five years as the Associate Director of Lake Institute of Faith and Giving at Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, she began serving as Director of Seminary Advancement at Christian Theological Seminary.   Her portfolio at CTS has included the annual fund, strategic development, fundraising infrastructure, alumni giving and the elimination of life-altering debt for the inaugural cohort of the PhD Program.  

Committed donors, supporters, congregations and leaders have embraced a culture of generosity and exploration of the intersection of faith and giving.  In 2017 she celebrated working with history makers who invested their resources to preserve the legacy of African-American Preaching through sponsored scholarships and endowment gifts for the nations first PhD in African-American Preaching.  Aimee Laramore has over 20 years of diverse private and public sector professional experience, with a client base spanning health care organizations to entrepreneurial small business, and is inclusive of national non-profits, intermediaries and a diverse array of religious congregations and faith-based institutions.  Beyond operational philosophies or structures, she is passionate about building excellence by honoring the gifts, assets and strengths of those that she works with.  She has served as consultant, coach, fund developer and strategic planner with over 100 organizations committed to making a difference in the lives of people and communities.  

Ms. Laramore is highly valued by clients for her penetrating insights into the organizational challenges they face and her practical and effective analysis of potential solutions. In the arenas of fund development, strategic planning and organizational development, she is regarded as a consummate professional and highly skilled practitioner.   She is transparent in her reflections about the complexities of adaptive leadership, cultural change, sustainable development and organizational transition.  Fiercely loyal and innovative, she has learned life-giving lessons from amazing successes across the nation and harnessed difficult lessons to continually invest into the development of entities in meaningful ways.  Ms. Laramore obtained her Bachelor's degree from Purdue University, and earned her MBA from the University of Toledo.   A life-long learner, she continues to grow through graduate studies in Bible, Theology and the ministries of Bonhoeffer and King.  Ms. Laramore is a graduate of the Center for Third World Organizing and Pratt Institute for Economic Development Internship Program and currently serves as a member of the Board of Visitors at the Howard University School of Divinity.  She unites a strong interest in organizing and development with core business principles that reinforce effective management and organizational operations.  ALlyd is known for extensive work in philanthropy, the intersection of faith and giving, strategic planning and fundraising.
